The Shell Pearls are the same organic material as cultured pearls.  These lovely pearls are made from real oysters with a genuine mother of pearl beaded interior for added quality and weight. Shell pearls are made of nacreous tissue from the same oyster as cultured South Sea Pearls. In the creation of shell pearls, craftsmen take over the lengthy layering process from the oyster by carefully coating the nucleus with microscopic layers of iridescent synthesized mother of pearl (the nacre of oysters) until a perfect gem is achieved.  They are then hand polished to a splendid luster.  The shell pearls are finished with a double coating of a protective layer that increases the shell pearl’s resistance to friction, erosion and fading. They are then professionally hand knotted with silk thread.  

South Sea Shell Pearl jewelry is available in virtually any color, pearl size and length. They may be customized to your specifications.  All Pearls are available in 8 – 16 MM and all lengths.
